Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to easily control every I/O and a data transfer to the memory, by providing the memory part which is able to set the length information of the processing period, and changing the period of the internal clock in accordance with value of the memory part.
CONSTITUTION: An optional machine cycle period is written in advance in the register 6 by the program control, the machine cycle selective circuit 5 is made to a selectable state by the selection approval signal ENB18, and an output from the register 6 which has been set is selected, and it is input to the frequency dividing control circuit 4. The circuit 4 controls the frequency dividing circuit 3 in accordance with the selected machine cycle period, and one of the signals which have divided frequency of the external clock into 1/2, 1/4 and 1/8 is provided to the clock generating circuit 1. The circuit 1 generates the clock 19 divided by the circuit 3 as the internal clock 15, and also the dividing clock generates the control signals ϕ1, ϕ2 of the machine cycle generating circuit 2. Accordingly, the machine cycle can be freely changed by the program control, and the output period of the input/ output control signal can be adjusted freely.
