CONSTITUTION:An electron gun 1 is inserted into a heating coil 5 supported by a supporting base 6 and the portion of an electron gun 1 to be tested is matched with the center of the heating coil 5. After completion of said setting, high frequency current is supplied from a power source to the heating coil 5 to heat said portion for predetermined time through induction thus to confirm the existence of crack. The heating temperature is approximately same or higher than the burning temperature of electrode during evacuation.
