Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable to recover the heat contained in the exhaust gas of a waste incineration plant not only as heat to preheat the air to be sent to a waste incineration furnace, but also as an electric power. CONSTITUTION:In accordance with the rise of the exhaust gas temperature, compressed air passing through an air passage 31 is heated in a 1st heat exchanger 32. In this process, the operational state of a turbine 26 moves from the initial driven side by an induction motor 29A to the driving side gradually. At the point when the load of the induction motor A moves from the positive to the negative, the operation state of the induction motor 29A is automatically switched to the operation state of an induction motor B. The compressed air passing through a 1st heat exchanger 32 in high temperature and high pressure state enters the turbine 26, and a part of its output is consumed as the driving force of a compressor 27 and the residual part of the output is consumed as driving force of the induction motor 29B. Exhaust air from the turbine 26 heats water flowing in a water channel 35 and then, fed to a waste incineration furnace 20 as the air for the burning purpose.
