Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce consumed electric power and raise the energy efficiency, by utilizing the waste combustion gas of an external heat engine to preheat burning air or heat an outside heat exchanger of a heat pump.
CONSTITUTION: A manual valve 135 and a solenoid valve 134 are operated to supply fuel from a fuel nozzle 132. The burning air is supplied from an air inlet port 202 to burn the fuel. A working fluid is heated by the waste combustion gas through fins 13. The burning air is preheated by the combustion gas through an exhaust pipe 145. In heating, the combustion gas flows from a port 155 to a passage 151. The heat pump 111 is driven by combustion gas. A reheater 14 for the working fluid of the external heat engine is connected to a high-temperature and a low temperature passages 12, 15 of the working fluid. A heat exchanger 113 for heating or cooling a coolant is provided at one cooling pipe 112'.
