Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the total efficiency of an engine by using the hot water passed through cooler in a starting engine as the water for a boiler in a heater. CONSTITUTION:A cooling water path 7 is provided in a cooler 6 of a starting engine E then the water is supplied and the warmed water is supplied to a boiler 3 in a heater 2. A burner 5 is provided in the heater 2 to heat the high temperature head 4 of the engine thus to produce the output, while the exhaust gas will heat said boiler 3 to produce the steam which is used as the various energy source. When required a cooling water path 9 is provided in a heat accumulator 8 to bypass a portion of the water supplied to a cooler 6 thus to recover the heat and to supply the water to a boiler 3. The amount of supply water is regulated by detecting the load of an output generator 10 in the engine E through a detector 11 while controlling an electromagnetic valve 12 through a controller 13.
