Abstract

PURPOSE:To accomplish accurate arrangement and firm assembly of a photo sensitive surface by arranging a semiconductor pellet for detecting light on an insulating substrate in a required array according to the detection method. CONSTITUTION:Semiconductor pellets 2 for detecting light are arranged in a concave part of an insulating substrate 1 at a required space. A fine metal wires 4b are respectively connected to terminals 3a and electrodes of the pellets 2 while fine metal wires are respectively connected to terminals 3b and a common electrode of the pellets 2. In the production process, after the assembly of the pellets 2 on the insulating substrate by bonding thereof in a required array, they are finally sealed up with a quartz glass plate 6. As a result, a photo-sensitive surface of a given area can be arranged in the requried array at a high accuracy along with a firm assembly.
