Abstract
PURPOSE: To remove the phosphoric acid ion from the secondary treated water efficiently by a method wherein the water to be treated containing phosphoric acid ion is added with calcium ion to adjust the pH thereof and, thereafter, passed through a baked bone carbon layer.
CONSTITUTION: In removing phosphoric acid ion in the secondary treated water of a sewage or excretion, firstly, calcium ion is added to the water to be treated according to necessity so as to regulate an atomic ratio of phosphorous and calcium to 3:5 or more. Subsequently, if an alkali agent 5 such as potassium hydroxide or the like is added to adjust the pH thereof to 8W9, phosphoric acid ion is formed into oxyapatite crystal nucleus and converted a colloidal state at an introducing part 10 of a filter tank 4. If this water to be treated is passed through the baked bone carbon layer 9, said crystal nucleus is adsorbed on a surface of activated oxyapatite crystal contained in the baked bone as a main component and grown and enlarged. If this grown crystal is removed, phosphoric acid ion can be removed without accompanying the sludge in good efficiency.
