Abstract
PURPOSE: To carry out a treatment capable of being operated continuously over a long period by a method wherein, in removing phosphoric acid ion in the water to be treated by precipitating said phosphoric acid ion as crystals, a part of said water to be treated is added a water to be treated in a packing layer and passed upwardly therethrough.
CONSTITUTION: During a time when the water to be treated containing phosphoric acid ion is raised through the bone carbon packed layer 4, said phosphoric acid ion is precipitated as calcium hydroxyapatite crystals on the surface of bone carbon and removed. In this time, a treating water is added in an amount of 1W20 times against the water to be treated introduced to the bone carbon packed layer 4 and passed through the packed layer 4 at a linear liquid flow rate of 10W100m/hr in an upward stream. Then, the bone carbon in the packed layer 4 is swollen and fluidized and crystallization of crystal is promoted and the formation of flock is prevented as well as the clogging is prevented. Therefore, the removing treatment of phosphoric acid ion can be carried out continuously in good efficiency.
