Abstract

PURPOSE: To permit a porous layer heating surface to be readily prepared by providing an oxide film having a large number of minute holes on a heating-surface base by anodizing, the heating-surface base being used as an anode in an electrolyte.
CONSTITUTION: An aluminium heating-surface base 2 as an anode and a platinum cathode plate 11 are arranged in an electrolyte of a phosphoric acid bath to perform anodizing. The heating-surface base 2 is oxidized by oxygen produced due to the fact that the heating-surface base 2 is an anode, so that an aluminum oxide film 12 is formed on the heating-surface base 2, the oxide film 12 being provided with a large number of tubular minute holes 13: approximately 1.9×108/m2 and approximately 330Å in diameter. Thus, a heating surface having a layer with a large number of minute holes can be readily prepared.
