Abstract
PURPOSE: To form a uniform Zr oxide layer on the inner wall face of tube, by carrying out anodic oxidation making the inner wall of unclear fuel covering tube made of Zr (alloy) as anode.
CONSTITUTION: Metal wire to be made as cathode, is stretched on the central line of Zr (alloy) tube at the inside of the above tube so as not to contact with the tube wall. Next, anodic oxidation is carried out making the tube inner wall as anode and using electrolytic solution containing HCl, H2SO4 or NaOH, KOH and then, Zr oxide layer is formed on the wall face in the tube. On this occasion, voltage of about 20W500V is applied between the cathode and anode. Also, Cu layer is formed on Zr oxide normally after carrying out anodic oxidation and Zr oxide layer is roughened in order to make adhesive property between both layers good.
