Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a self-cleaning type wall whose porous film is impregnated with a catalyst by a procedure in which an anodized film is formed on the surface of a base metal aluminum and then it is subjected to an AC electrolysis using an electrolyte and a metal oxide catalyst, e.g., lead, iron, etc.
CONSTITUTION: When a surface of a base metal, e.g. aluminum or its alloy, is subjected to an anodic oxidation treatment, a porous anodized film is obtained. Then, it is subjected to an AC electrolysis using an electrolyte containing a metal salt serving as an oxidation catalyst, e.g., a metal, e.g., Pt, pd, Fe, etc., or its oxide, followed by baking. Thus, the oxidation catalyst is impregnated deeply into the porous film to form a self-cleaning type wall having good cleaning capability.
