Abstract
PURPOSE: To automatically prevent an increase of resistance of running water and not to worsen the treating water, by providing the syphon tube on the upper end of closed type purifying vessel using biological membrane and passing the water to be treated in vertical direction and discharging thickened biological membrane out of the vessel.
CONSTITUTION: Feed water is charged in the sanitary sewage purifying tank 1 from the feed water tank 3 through the ventilating tank 4 and contaminated substance in the sewage is adsorbed and decomposed by the biological membrane stuck on the packing material 2. Treating water is flowed from the treating water pipe 5 and a part of it is stored in the back washing storage tank 6. Water level of the syphon tube 7 provided to the upper end of the tank 1, is raised when the biological membrane is thickened and resistance of running water is increased with the lapse of time and the material 2 is back washed by stored water of the tank 6 by the syphon phenomenon and then, thickened biological membrane is discharged to the discharge tank 9 placed outside of the tank 1. On this occasion, purifying ability of the sewage is recovered immediately without washing out the biological membrane taking part in the purification of the sewage perfectly.
