PURPOSE: To provide a fixed-bed type waste water treating apparatus, in which waste water is successively passed through a plurality of treating tank with fixed filter bed having biomembrane (biological membrane), and waste water is repeatedly introduced into and discharged from these tanks alternately, whereby it is enabled to bring waste water into uniformly with the fixed filter bed and thus to eliminate dead area of the filter bed.
