Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent porous corrosion from occurring by a method wherein fine powder of aluminum alloy containing a specific rate of zinc is attached to the surface of aluminum material of which the heat exchanger is made up.
CONSTITUTION: In the heat exchanger of an evaporator or the like for an automobile radiator, cooler etc. in which its core portion at least is made of aluminum material, after the heat exchanger is soldered for assembly, fine powder of aluminum material containing zinc of 0.1W30wt% is attached to the surface of the aluminum material so that it can have a thickness of 10W200 microns. Then, a fine powder layer of zinc containing aluminum alloy acts on the aluminum material of the inner surface as sacrificial anode corrosion and prevents porous corrosion which is likely to occur on pure aluminum.
