Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the outflow of impregnating varnish and obtain a strong insulating layer by a method wherein resin is dropped on the outer circumferences and the inner circumferences of the roots of the end portions of stator winding and hardened, and the resin is impregnated to the winding in a slot and hardened. CONSTITUTION:A stator core 2 into which winding 1 is inserted is inclined only at a proper angle alpha and slowly rotated. Insulating resin having high viscosity is dropped on an outer circumference 4 and an inner circumference 5 of a root of an end portion 3 of the winding, the root portion is completely covered with the resin 6, and the resin is hardened. The same treatment is also executed to the roots 10, 11 of an end portion 9 of the winding at the reverse side, and the resin 6 is hardened. The insulating resin is impregnated to the winding in a slot under a normal pressure or vacuum condition and heated and hardened. Thus, since the resin is impregnated into the slot after an outlet portion of the slot is completely sealed, the outflow of the resin can be prevented.
