Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the reliability of a rotary electric machine by insulating with powder only the side faces and slot outlet of the iron core for the machine and forming a semicured layer thereon and then insulating with powder the whole iron core including the interior of the slot, thereby forming a thick insulation layer on the corner of the slot outlet. CONSTITUTION:A powder insulation treatment is conducted beforehand only on the side faces 7 and slot outlet corner 5 of the iron core, and semicured powder resin layer 8 is thus formed thereon. Thereafter, the powder insulation treatment is conducted on the inner surface of the slot 1 and is also laminated on the semicured resin insulation layer 8, thereby thermosetting the whole layer and forming a powder resin insulation layer 9. Thus, a sufficiently thick insulation layer can be formed at a part directly contacting with the coil at the iron core so as to prevent the damage of the coil, thereby improving the reliability.
