Abstract

PURPOSE:To dispense with wedges for securing a coil and enhance a cooling effect, by winding the coil in a stator core, thereafter provisionally fixing the coil with a coil thrusting jig, then impregnating resin to secure the coil and removing the coil thrusting jig. CONSTITUTION:After the stator coil 2 is wound in the stator core 1, the coil thrusting jig 4 is placed inside the stator core 1 to hold the coil 2 in slots 1a. In the coil thrusting jig 4, radial projections 4b are provided on the peripheral part of the cylindrical body 4a of the jig to correspond to the slits 1a. Resin is impregnated into the coil 2 to fix it. The coil thrusting jig 4 is then removed. According to this method, wedges for securing the coil 2 in the slots are not needed. This results in increasing the quantity of ventilation and enhancing the cooling effect.
