Abstract
PURPOSE: To recover potential heat from an inpurities-contg. fluid and utilize it effectively by combining a vapor-liq. separating evaporator and an indirect contact condenser with a vacuum unit connected.
CONSTITUTION: Impurities-contg. hot water (a) such as geothermal water or industrial waste water enters cyclone type vapor-liq. separating evaporator 2, where it evaporates, and vapor (c) is introduced into indirect contact condenser 5. Since the internal pressure of condenser 5 is kept lower than that of evaporator 2 by the action of vacuum unit 9, vapor (c) automatically flows toward condenser 5. Clean cold water (d) is supplied to heat exchanger tube 6 placed in condenser 5, and it is heated with vapor (c) and intrduced into a utilization sytem as warm water (e). Vapor (c) used to heat water (d) condenses, gathers on he bottom of condenser 5, and is discharged as condensate (f). Condensate (f) is pure water and can be utilized as water for various uses. The uncondensed gas accumulated in condenser 5 is exhausted with unit 9.
