Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a clad material which is superior in adhesion strength metallurgically, by interposing a copper material between an aluminum bronze material and an iron material and by laminating them and by cutting off respective contact faces from external air and by holding them at a specific temperature to roll them.
CONSTITUTION: After subjected to abrasive processing, surfaces of an aluminum bronze material, an iron material, and a copper or copper alloy thin plate material are degreased and cleaned. The aluminum bronze material is put on iron material 1 through copper thin plate 2, and they are laminated. Auxiliary plate 4 and auxiliary frame 5 with exfoliating material aplied are spread around this laminated material to weld them hermetically, and thus, respective contact faces are cut off from external air. Next, this material is rolled up to a desired thickness while holding the temperature at 850W870°C, and finally auxiliary plte 4 and auxiliary frame 5 are exfoliated. As a result, a clad material superior in adhesion strength can be obtained without generation of an aluminum/iron alloy layer and damage of the characteristic of aluminum bronze.
