Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a highly corrosion resistant surface-treated steel plate having superior film adhesion and weldability by subjecting one side of a steel plate to manganese plating with an acidic plating bath and the other side to manganese plating with an alkaline plating bath in a specified thickness.
CONSTITUTION: One side of a steel plate requiring corrosion resistance after coating is subjected to manganese electroplating with an alkaline plating bath, and the other side to manganese electroplating with an acidic plating bath. The plating thickness is ≥0.1g/m2. The same plating bath may be used while adjusting the pH simply.
