Abstract

PURPOSE: To enble to stably form a coating with excellent corrosion resistance, plating appearance and close adhesiveness of the coating by adding a specific amount of a water soluble sulfite and glycine to a plating liquid.
CONSTITUTION: To an acidic manganese plating liquid based on manganese sulfate or manganese chloride, 0.1W10g/l of a water soluble sulfite such as Na2SO3 or the like is added as an inhibitor of an oxidized film formation and 5W50g/l of glycine as a buffer for stabilizing pH of the plating both. By using the resultant acidic manganese plating electrolytic bath, a manganese plated steel plate or the like with excellent corrosion resistance, plating appearance, paintability and durability of an under coat after printing is obtained efficiently.
