Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a highly corrosion resistant surface-treated steel plate having superior film adhesion and weldability by subjecting one side of a steel plate to zinc plating and the other side to manganese plating in a specified thickness.
CONSTITUTION: One side of a steel plate is plated with ≥0.5g/m2 thick zinc by electroplating or other method. The other side is then plated with ≥0.1g/m2 thick manganese. At this time, an alkaline plating bath is preferably used from the viewpoint of film adhesion and corrosion resistance after coating.
