Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate fabrication while reducing a loss of photodetection by forming an optical system, which focuses the scattered light of a light emitting element in a smoke sensitive area, in the transparent body of a focusing block in one body. CONSTITUTION:Smoke-scattered light is scattered from light emission element 5 provided to one focal axis 14 of focusing block 4 that has elliptic column reflective surface 13 in a transparent body. On one focal axis 14 of the above-mentioned focusing block 4, concave smoke sensitive area 10 is formed and when smoke enters smoke sensitive area 10, smoke-scattered light from light emission element 5 is photodetected by photodetector 6 provided to the other focal axis 20 to detect the smoke. However, a loss of photodetection is generated since the light from light emission element 5 is scattered light. For the purpose, transparent partition plate 23 is formed, making the transparent body continuous, at the intermediate part of cylinder hole 15' and lens 24 is formed in the same body with the plate, so that scattered light b1 projected from light emission element 5 will be focused through lens 24 into focused light b2.
