Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:A furoindole compound of formula I (R1 is lower alkyl; R2 is halogen, methoxy or methyl).
EXAMPLE: 4-Ethyl-6-fluoro-furo[3,2-b]indole-2-(N-piperidinopropyl)-carboxamide.
USE: Medicine having antiphlogistic and analgesic activites.
PROCESS: The compound of formula I is prepared by (1) reacting a compound of formula II with a compound of formula III (X is halogen), (2) hydrolyzing the resulting compound of formula IV to afford a compound of formula V, (3) converting the product to acid chloride with SOCl2, and (4) reacting the acid chloride with a compound of formula VII in a solvent such as benzene, acetone, etc.
