Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve contact of diaphragm and valve of a diaphragm type feed water valve and to simplify the assembly in manufacturing the same, by constituting a main valve body from upper and lower parts so that the diaphragm is held between these two parts of the main valve body.
CONSTITUTION: In the diaphragm type feed water valve shown in the drawing, water introduced from an inlet port 1a is passed through an extracting hole 3a and a small hole 5e into a pressure chamber 20. By a pressure in a chamber 20, a diaphragm valve body 2 is urged onto a valve seat 1d so that the valve is closed. On the other hand, when control a rod 11 is moved upward and a through-hole 5b of a main valve body 4 is opened with the excitation of a coil 8 and a pressure in the pressure chamber 20 is lowered resultantly, the valve body 2 is moved away from a valve seat 1d. Here, the main valve body 4 disposed at the central portion of a diaphragm 3 of the valve body 2 is constituted by an upper valve body 5 and a lower valve body 6, and the valve is assembled by inserting a small-diametered portion 6a of the lower valve body 6 into a hole 5c formed in the lower surface of the upper valve body 5 so that the diaphragm 3 is held between the upper and lower valve bodies 5 and 6.
