Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a feed water solenoid valve which can be operated correctly in a wide water-pressure range, by forming a common water inlet chamber and a common water outlet chamber in the valve body of a pilot operated feed water solenoid valve and a direct operated feed water solenoid valve.
CONSTITUTION: In case that a direct operated feed water solenoid valve is designed such that its maximum operating water pressure is, for instance, 0.4kg/cm2 and a water pressure lower than that is acted, plungers 7 of the direct operated solenoid valve and a pilot operated feed water solenoid valve are moved upward against the force of coil spring 14 when electromagnetic coils 15 of these two valves are excited. Here, diaphragm 5 of the pilot operated solenoid valve is not detached from its valve seat 4 because of low water pressure, but valve body 5' of the direct operated solenoid valve is moved upward from valve seat 4 together with its plunger 7, so that water inlet chamber 2 and water outlet chamber 3 are communicated with each other. On the other hand, in case that a water pressure higher than 1kg/cm2 is applied, the pilot operated solenoid valve is opened but the direct operated solenoid valve is not opened since its pluner 7 can not raise valve body 5' because of high water pressure.
