Abstract

PURPOSE: To make a solenoid valve more compact, to ensure more positive performance by equipping a 3-way solenoid valve with an integral solenoid-operated flow-change valve and pressure-change valve having the same seat diameter and valve stroke to set off reactive forces.
CONSTITUTION: A passage ON/OFF valve chamber 2 and pressure balancing valve chamber 3 are formed in a valve body 1. When a solenoid 4 is not energized, a passage ON/OFF valve 14 and a pressure change valve 15 are moved rightward by the force of a spring 21, causing fluid in the first circuit 6 to flow only through the third passage 9. A reactive force F2 working on a pressure change valve 15 from the second pressure circuit 13 is then cancelled by another reactive force F1 caused by a passage change valve 14. When the solenoid is energized, the valves 14 and 15 are moved leftward, shutting off the flow of liquid in the first circuit whereas communicating the second passage 8 with the third passage 9. This permits to reduce the capacity of a coil 20 and improve performance of the solenoid.
