Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase a voltage to be generated by a coil and to securly prevent spark failure by increasing the coil energy in accordance with the increase in floating capacity of an ignition system. CONSTITUTION:Connecting or breaking of the primary coil 1a is controlled by an igniter 2 which is turned on or off by the ignition signal from an ignition signal generating device 2a. The high voltage generated at the secondary coil 1b of an ignition coil 1 is applied to an ignition plug 4 by high-tension cords 5,6 and a distributor 3. A voltage divider 10 divides and detects the secondary high voltage, and a coil energy control part 20 controls a relay 30 corresponding to the size of floating capacity in a transmitting system of the high voltage. As the floating capacity increases, the relay 30 is closed, the primary side breaking current is increased, and the coil generating voltage is increased.
