Abstract
PURPOSE:To maintain the power supply without interruption with the feeding of the battery energy to the primary winding of the transformer regrardless of power failure by charging the battery with the output of the separate winding provided for the secondary winding of the switching transformer through the impedance. CONSTITUTION:The transformer 3 gets the AC output with the switch action of the transistor 4 during the normal operation, and the output is rectified 6 and smoothed 7 to obtain the DC output. At the same time, the battery 10 is float charged through the impedance 9 from the separate winding added to the secondary side of the transformer 3. The control section 12 detects the failure of the AC input whenever it occurs while the gate signal is applied to the thyristor 11, allowing the thyristor to conduct. With the conduction of the thyristor, DC power is fed from the battery 10 ensuring the feed of the DC output by switching, rectifying and smoothing effects.
