Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase the regulation and to reduce the degree of heat generation, by using a foil type winding for the transformer of a switching regulator and setting a foil type winding having at least a turn at the secondary side to extract the minimum voltage. CONSTITUTION:The unstabilized DC voltage obtained by rectifying the commercial power supply voltage is applied to a terminal 21 and then to the collector of a switching transistor TR23 via a primary winding 22a of a transformer 22 using a foil type winding. The emitter of the TR23 is earthed, and the output of a pulse duration modulator 24 is applied to the base of the TR23. The windings 22b-22e plus an error detecting winding 22f are provided at the secondary side of a transformer 22 in accordance with the voltage to be extracted. The windings 22b and 22c of the minimum output voltage plus the winding 22f have one turn, respectively. The output of the winding 22f receives the rectification/ smoothing 33 to be supplied to the modulator 24. The pulse duration of the modulator 24 is controlled according to the DC output, and the ON time of the TR23 is controlled to deliver the stable DC voltage to output terminals 26, 28, 30 and 32, respectively.
