Abstract

PURPOSE: To measure γ-glutamyl trans peptidase activity, by using a condensation product of a glutamic acid and an aminostilbene derivative or aminobisphenyl derivative as a substrate.
CONSTITUTION: A compound shown by the formula (n is integer of 0 or 1; at least one of R1 and R2 are sulfone group or carboxyl group and may be the same or different) obtained by condensing an aminostibene derivative having water-soluble substituent groups at 2,2'-positions or aminobiphenyl derivative with N-phthalyl- L-glutamic anhydride by well-known method is dissolved in a buffer solution. A test sample having γ-glutamyl trans peptidase activity is brought into contact with the prepared buffer solution for substrate at a constant temperature, to measure the absorbance of a free amine.
