Abstract
PURPOSE:To simplify the circuit for an exciter of a rotary electric machine by performing an intrinsic control of a sole rectifier for obtaining an exciting current in accordance with respective operation modes. CONSTITUTION:The connecting point of a breaker 11 connected to the output side of a synchronizer 1 to a transformer 12 connected to the breaker is connected through a transformer 13, a breaker 14, a rectifier 6 and a breaker 2 to the field coil 1a of the synchronizer 1. On the other hand, a switch 15 having contacts a-e is provided, an automatic voltage regulator 16 is connected to the contact a; and a simultaneous fire signal generator 18 a generator 19 for generating an initial excitation signal, a generator 20 for generating a regenerative brake excitation signal, and a generator 21 for generating a starting time excitation signal for starting the rectifier 6 are respectively connected to the contacts b-e.
