Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the titled steel by adding a specified amount of Mn and/or Cr, Si, Al, Ti, C and O to an alloy steel obtd. by hot compacting alloy steel powder so as to disperse a nonmetallic inclusion consisting essentially of Mn and/or Cr oxides in the matrix and specify the grain size distribution.
CONSTITUTION: This steel is an alloy steel obtd. by hot compacting alloy steel powder contg. ≥1 kinds of by wt., 0.35W2.3% Mn and 0.3W5% Cr, and further contg. <0.1% Si, <0.01% Al, <0.01% Ti, 0.26W0.39% C and 0.18W0.35% O. A nonmetallic inclusion finely dispersed in the matrix is consisting essentially of Mn and/or Cr oxide, and grains having ≤10μm grain size in the grains of the inclusion are adjusted to ≥95% by number.
