Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a cast Co alloy with enhanced strength to compressive stress high temp. by adding a specified amount of C, Si, Mn, Cr, W, Fe, Ni, P, S and N as essential components and a very small amount of specified elements such as Ti and Ce to Co.
CONSTITUTION: This cast Co alloy consists of 1.5W3% C, ≤1.0% Si, ≤1.0% Mn, 25W35% Cr, 8W17% W, ≤3% Fe, ≤3% Ni, ≤0.03% P, ≤0.03% S and ≤0.10% N as essential components, one or more among 0.001W0.5% Ti, 0.001W0.01% Ce or Ra, 0.01W0.10% Zr, 0.01W0.5% V, 0.001W0.5% B and 0.1W0.5% Mo, and the balance essentially Co. This alloy has a structure in which carbide is granulated, uniformly dispersed, and made soluble in the matrix.
