Abstract

PURPOSE: To adsorb and remove efficiently SO2, etc. in a gas to be treated, by a method wherein each chamber of a rotary cage having a plurality of chambers in charged with an adsorbent, and intermittently rotated, whereby the adsorbent is circulated around an adsorption zone, a desorption zone and then a cooling zone in order.
CONSTITUTION: A plurality of chambers 6 are partitioned circumferentially around a rotary cage 1 and circularly arranged. Each chamber 6 is charged with an adsorbent. The rotary cage 1 is intermittently rotated chamber by chamber at a time, whereby the adsorbent is circulated around an adsorption zone 18, a desorption zone 19 and then a cooling zone 20 in order.
