Abstract
PURPOSE:To accomplish a stable positioning of the magnetic head by raising the speed by steps while checking position and performing accurate position control after it reaches the target track in the movement of the magnetic head onto the target track. CONSTITUTION:In the movement of the magnetic head 12, the gate 1 is opened simultaneously with the inputting of the target track number into the registor 3. The output of the oscillator 4 is inputted into the D/A converter 7 through the counter 6 and the output voltage c acting as the speed reference signal is raised by steps to increase the speed of drive linearmotor 10. At the same time, each time the output of the oscillator 4 is provided, the track number reading circuit 5 reads the track number corresponding to the magnetic head 12 to compare it with the value in the registor 3. As the magnetic head 12 reaches the target track, the gate is closed while accurate position control is performed by means of another controller.
