Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the bearing small in size, durable for a high-speed rotation and inexpensive in the cost thereof by a method wherein magnetic circuit sections, provided in the bearing supporting a rotating body, and permanent magnets for detecting spidle speed, which are attached to the inside of the spindle, are provided to control the rotating body.
CONSTITUTION: The spindle 1 having rotary magnetic poles 2 is held on the central axis thereof in the movement of radial direction without any control by utilizing attracting forces generated by the permanent magnets 4 provided at the inside of fixed magnetic poles 3 while is stabilized in the movement of the axial direction thereof by control coils 5 obtaining a signal by a speed detecting coil 8. Since the rotating magnetic poles 2 are attracted to either upper or lower side upon starting and the speed signal is zero, the spindle is lifted off by utilizing a capacitor or the like to flow a current through the control coils 5. Thereafter, since the spindle 1 and the permanent magnets 7 accommodated therein are moved, fluxes penetrating through the speed detecting coil 8 are varied and the speed signal becomes to be generated, thus, a feedback control is effected by this signal and the high-speed rotation is enabled accordingly.
