Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide an alloy with excellent corrosion resistance against molten zinc containing Cu, Si, Mn, Ni and one or more of Mo, Nb, V in a predetermined ratio respectively and containing the remainder of Fe. CONSTITUTION:The corrosion resistant alloy for molten zinc contains, in the wt% basis, 0.2-0.5% C, 1.0% or less Si, 1.0% or less Mn, 1.0% or less Ni, 4-7% Cr and one or more of 2.0% or less Mo, 2.0% or less Nb, 0.3% V and comprises the remainder of Fe substantially. As said alloy, an alloy containing, for example, 0.36% C, 0.39% Si, 0.70% Mn, 0.06% Ni, 5.37% Cr, 0.67% Mo, 0.19% V respectively and the remainder of Fe is represented. If said alloy is used in various members for molten zinc, a durable period thereof can be prolonged and, at the same time, a zinc plated steel plate production line can be continuously operated stably.
