Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent hunting by changing output frequency of a power converter according to a variation rate of an internal magnetic flux of a motor detecting a sign of the hunting depending on the variation in the magnetic flux.
CONSTITUTION: A terminal voltage of a motor detected with insulation through a transformer 14 is introduced to a magnetic flux detector 20 to detect the magnitude of the flux. The detection signal is differentiated in a differentiation circuit 18 and the differentiation signal is introduced into an adder 19 at the input section of a voltage/frequency converter 12 in the polarity matching an operation mode each time with a polarity switch 22 and overlaps a speed setting signal as a proper frequency command value. To discriminate the operation mode, the level of the output voltage of a current control computer 8 as command signal of firing angle determining the output voltage of a converter 2 is compared with a reference level with a comparator 21.
