Abstract

PURPOSE:To output a protection command signal for the storage device of a computer during electric power reduction or a power failure, by comparing the output signal of an integral network, which integrates a detection signal obtained by comparing the output voltage of a rectifier with an input reference voltage, with a reference signal. CONSTITUTION:An AC power voltage is inputted through a transformer 13 to a rectifier 14, whose output varies with the voltage as shown by A, B-F. This output is compared with a reference voltage Ve by a detecting circuit 15 to detect a signal only when it is higher than the Ve. When the signal is inputted from the detecting circuit 15, the output of an integral network 16 is set to a level 0 and when the signal is not inputted, the output level V0 rises gradually. This V0 is inputted to a control command circuit 17 and a protection command circuit 18 to be compared with levels Va and Vb shown in a figure (c). As the electric power of a power source is reduced gradually, the V0 rises; when it reaches the Va, the control command circuit 17 commands operation for electric power reduction and when the Vb, the protection command circuit 18 commands the protection of a storage device.
