Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent an error of operation of a flow control valve in a blow-by gas recirculting passage due to any leak from a temperature responsive valve provided in a suction negative pressure transmitting passage for the flow control valve by disposing a leak means in the negative pressure transmitting passage between both valves. CONSTITUTION:In an idling or a low load range, since a port 31 is located on the upstream side of a throttle valve 17 and hence is not acted upon by negative pressure, a flow control valve 21 in a blow-by gas recirculating passage 20 is held in its closed position. Thus, even if the throttle valve 17 is then opened so that the port 31 is acted upon by negative pressure, a temperature responsive valve 32 is held closed while the engine remains at a low temperature so that the valve 21 is still maintained in its closed position. If, at this instant, negative pressure of a negative pressure transmitting passage 29 rises due to any leak from the temperature responsive valve 32 in its closed position, atmospheric air is leaked little by little from a leak passage 41 which has an orifice 42 therein thereby to inhibit rise of the negative pressure. By this constitution, an error of operation of the flow control valve 21 is prevented assuredly.
