Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the effedt of drift caused by the change in ambient temperature, by changing the loop gain through the provision of DC amplifier in the loop controlling the oscillating frequency of the voltage-controlled quartz oscillator in the atomic oscillator. CONSTITUTION:The output signal of the voltage-controlled quartz oscillator 1 is phase modulated at the phase modulator 3 by the low-frequency output fL of the low-frequency oscillator 2, and multiplied to the atomic resonance frequency by the multiplier 4 to form microwave, and is input to the atomic resonator 5. The fundamental wave fL among the resonance signal of the resonator is selected at the selective amplifier 7 and the synchronizing detection is made at the synchronous detector 9 with the output signal of the low frequency oscillator 2. The synchronizing detection output e1 is fed to the DC amplifier 12, the output e2 is integrated at the integrator 11 to produce the voltage corresponding to the difference between the microwave signal frequency and that from the atomic resonator to control the oscillator 1. Since the difference between the drift voltage of the integrator 11 and the input voltage of the integrator is increased with the DC amplifier, the frequency variance caused by the drift of integrator can be reduced.
