Abstract
PURPOSE:To correct phase shift characteristics to variation in input frequency by providing a phase shifting circuit behind a PLL circuit. CONSTITUTION:A wave to be modulated applied to an input terminal 1 is applied to a phase comparator 3 through an amplitude controller 2. The phase comparator 3 outputs a voltage proportional to a phase difference between said signal and the output signal of a voltage-controlled oscillator 5, controlling its oscillation frequency. A phase difference between the input signal and the output signal of the voltage-controlled oscillator 5 depends upon the loop gain of a PLL circuit 8 consisting of the phase comparator 3, a loop filter and DC amplifier 4, and the voltage-controlled oscillator 5, and as the input singal varies in frequency, said phase difference varies. A phase shifting circuit 6 has characteristics for correcting the frequency-phase characteristics of the PLL circuit 8, compensating the phase shift of the output signal.
