Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to reduce the transmission spurious radiation of a frequency synthesizer, by forming the phase locked loop with a phase comparison circuit, LPF, voltage control oscillator, buffer amplifier, frequency mixing circuit, and fixed frequency dividing circuit. CONSTITUTION:The oscillated frequency fT of a voltage control oscillating circuit 20 is led to a frequency mixing circuit 22 via a buffer amplifying circuit 21, fT-fR is formed by mixing the transmission frequency fT with the reception local oscillating frequency fR, this is frequency-divided at a fixed frequency dividing circuit 23 and it is taken as the input to a phase comparison circuit 18. After frequency-dividing this input and the output of a quartz oscillating circuit 15 at a fixed frequency dividing circuit 16, the result is phase-compared at 18 with the frequency f3 modulated at a pulse position modulating circuit 17, the output is fed to the circuit 20 at LPF19 to control the frequency fT. That is, the phase locked loop is formed with the circuit 18, LPF19, circuits 20-23. Thus, the transmission spurious radiation of the frequency synthesizer can be reduced.
