Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a high precise molded product with a compression member positioned reliably, by a method wherein, in micro-tuning the compression volume for protecting against the generation of sinking due to thermal contraction, a tie bar nut is attached on the end of a tie bar by means of a screw. CONSTITUTION:A tie bar 33 is secured on a fixed board, whereat a stationary mold 31 is mounted, by means of a nut 34. A movable mold 36 moves together-with a moving board 37. The tie bar 33 extends to the end of a direct pressure cylinder 49, and a tie bar nut 53, which is positioned rotatably against a cylinder cover 54, is attached on the end of the tie bar by means of a screw. A sprocket 56, in turn, is attached on the end of the tie bar. The sprockets 60 and 56 are rotated by a hydraulic motor 59, and a mold-locking housing 44 is moved slightly along the tie bar through the working of an adjusting unit 55 of the tie bar nut 53 to finely control a compression volume. In the work of molding, the compression valume is previously adjusted finely before molds 31 and 36 are locked by a hydraulic cylinder 48.
