Abstract
PURPOSE:To effect the set-up of mold tightening force with a metallic mold closed and to shorten the time for setting up an automatic tightening force by stopping the rotation of a tie-bar nut when mold tightening force corresponding to the advance of the piston rod of a mold tightening cylinder is obtained. CONSTITUTION:A limit switch 19c is provided in order to obtain a mold tightening force at the zero points of both limit switches 19a for rated mold tightening force and limit switch 19b for mold tightening force that is smaller than the rated mold tightening force. After changed metallic molds 7' and 8' are mounted, low pressure oil is supplied to a cylinder 4 in order to prevent their dismounting, and the tie-bar nut is rotated to stretch the toggle. The limit switches 19a- 19c are successively actuated with a striker 20 by the advance of a piston rod. If a mold tightening force that is smaller than the rated mold tightening force is set up in the control board, the low pressure oil is cut off at the time when the limit switch 19b is actuated, and the rotation of the tie-bar nut is stopped.
