Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce the open-and-shut time of the mold in the clamping device for synthetic resin molding by a method wherein a front and a rear plate making up a moving plate is moved by the revolution of nuts provided with a gear supported between tie rod sleeves.
CONSTITUTION: A cylinder 10 is operated and a moving plate 3 made up of a front plate 31 and a rear one 32 are let to fall down to the intended position in a tight contact with each other. Then, an open-and-shut cylinder 4 is operated, a rod 6 is expanded and the front plate 31 is let to fall. When the front plate 31 falls down to the intended position, a motor 9 is operated, a nut revolution device composed of a pinion 8, a gear 7 is operated, the nut 9 provided with a gear is screwed on a tie rod screw portion 2b and the moving plate 3 composed of the front and rear plate 31, 32 is fixed to the tie rod 2. For the last time, a mold clamping cylinder 18 provided on a fixing plate 1 is operated to clamp the metal molds 19, 20 tightly.
