Abstract

PURPOSE:To control the wet quantity in a wet type insulator stain measurement at the optimum value by successively detecting conductivity between electrodes from the starting of wetting, and stopping the wetting when the variation in the conductivity is below a fixed value. CONSTITUTION:A timing pulse generator 6 is provided to generate a reference pulse Pc and a sampling pulse Pe generated after the reference pulse Pc. The output voltage of a detector 4 obtained from the sampling pulse Pe is stored in a memory 9. The difference between the output voltages of the detector 4 and the memory 9 is amplified by a differential amplifier 10, and compared with the prescribed value determined by variation controlled in a comparator 11. A multiplier 12 stops a vapor generator 13 on condition that the control circuit is started and the variation reaches the prescribed value. Thus, the wet quantity needed for dissolving attached stains can be supplied in proportion to the attached stain quantity.
