Abstract
PURPOSE:To measure the specific gravity of an electrolyte accurately in a short time by providing a chamber separately from an electrolyte container between which passes are provided and by inserting a specific gravity sensor in the chamber. CONSTITUTION:Plates 4, 5 provided with leads 2, 3 are contained is an electrolyte container 1, and an electrolyte 6 comprising aqueous sulfuric acid solution in filled to form a storage battery. The specific gravity of the electrolyte 6 is detected using a hydrometer such as a floating hydrometer 9, an optical hydrometer, or ultrasonic hydrometer.
