PURPOSE:To electrically sense the concentration of a nutritious solution in a culture medium regardless of the content of the nutritious solution in the culture medium, by sensing electric conductivity in the nutritious solution in the culture medium held by a nutritious solution holding member embedded in the culture medium. CONSTITUTION:A nutritious solution holding member 12 is filled in the interior of a sensor having plate electrode plates (10A) and (10B) intersecting a net plate 8 for taking in a nutritious solution in a culture medium 2 at right angles and then embedded in the culture medium 2. The nutritious solution in the culture medium 2 is held between the electrode plates (10A) and (10B) regardless of the nutritious solution content in the culture medium 2. Thereby electric conductivity indicating the concentration of the nutritious solution in the culture medium 2 can be measured from measured values of impedance obtained by an impedance measuring instrument 22.
